This is the genuine RFI Issue gear being issued to US troops. Constructed with Polartec grid material, this layer provides extra warmth in cooler conditions but still wicks moisture away and dries fast. The material offers stretch for increased comfort and is lighter weight with less bulk than previous systems. Highly breathable, fast-drying next-to-skin layer. Comfy and warm base layer or with a T-shirt. Thumbholes are nice for cold weather with gloves and the material is pleasant to the touch. Worried about long term durability though.

Purchased also Generation III Mid-Weight top for $3.00 more and quite frankly cannot tell the difference between the two. They look and wear the same; both however are warm and comfortable.
