New York State Desert Storm Service Ribbon

The New York State Desert Storm Service Ribbon is awarded to members of the New York State Organized Militia who served during Operation Desert Storm. Operation Desert Storm was the U.S.-led military operation to liberate Kuwait from Iraqi occupation, which took place from January 17, 1991, to February 28, 1991. The criteria for this award include:

• Service in support of Operation Desert Storm.
• Demonstrating dedication and professionalism during the operation.
• Contributing to the success of U.S. military efforts in the liberation of Kuwait.
